Life's most persistent and urgent question is, "What are you doing for others?" ~Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity. ~Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Cincinnati Missionary Baptist District Association Women’s Auxiliary presents: March 15th – 17th Spring Revival, The Greater New Hope MBC; March 25th Good Friday Service, NFBC; April 10th Home Mission Outreach, Summit Center; April 15th – 16th OSBC Women’s Retreat, Twinsburg, OH.

February is Black History Month, an opportunity to celebrate the achievements and contributions people of African heritage have made for the world. It is also a time to reflect on our sad history of prejudice and slavery and to advocate for equal rights for all. In 1926, African-American historian Dr. Carter G. Woodson advocated for the observance of Negro History Week during the 2nd week in February because it marks the birthdays of two Americans who greatly helped African Americans win freedom and justice in America -- Frederick Douglass and Abraham Lincoln. During the bicentennial celebration in 1976, Black History Week was expanded to the entire month and Black History Month has been observed every February since then. February marks the observance of many other important milestones in African-American history. On February 1, 1865, Abraham Lincoln signed the 13th Amendment abolishing slavery. The 15th Amendment, granting black men the right to vote, was adopted on February
3, 1870; on February 12, 1909, the NAACP was founded; and on February 25, 1870, Hiram Rhodes Revels, the first black US Senator, took the oath of office.

In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends. ~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929-1968)

The Four Agreements - #1…Be Impeccable With Your Word
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

The Four Agreements - #2…Don’t Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won’t be the victim of needless suffering.

The Four Agreements - #3…Don’t Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement,
you can completely transform your life.

The Four Agreements - #4…Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best and you will avoid self-judgement, self-abuse, and regret.

Mark your calendar…Vacation Bible School 2016! July 19th – 21st. The Theme is “The Ultimate Climb. Hiking Up To Meet God. Exodus 34:2b. 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Bring a friend!

Words from our Pastor, “May the Lord God bless you real good!”

Grateful People Are Healthier People - "A simple grateful thought turned heavenwards is the most perfect prayer."  Doris Lessing
Think of anything - big or small - that exists in your life, whether it is a relationship, a job, a particular flower, or your morning coffee. Now, if this thing were to disappear tomorrow and be gone forever, would you miss it? If you would, it is something to be grateful for today - because it is here in your life right now. How would our lives change if, every day, we focused on our abundance rather than on what was lacking? According to new research, we would be happier people. On the contrary, materialists - people who are focused on obtaining material goods - tend to feel more depressed and unsatisfied. - See more at: http://spiritualityhealth.com/blog/traci-pedersen/grateful-people-are-happier-people#sthash.seXZG0WV.dp

Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God." Luke 18:27

May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully.  Ephesians 3:19. Eternal life is made possible by God’s eternal love.

***Satan isn't after your joy; he is after your strength. The devil wants you too weak to pray. He wants you worn out and burned out. Satan wants to kill the head because he knows the body will fall! But the Lord will lift your head and shield you from the devil's plot against you, if you put trust in Him. As for God, His way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried. He is a shield to all those who takes refuge in Him. 2 Samuel 22:31.

Remember...Judge not, and ye shall not be judged; Condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned; Forgive, and ye shall be forgiven. Luke 6:37.

*** Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle***

Happiness depends on what you can give. Not what you can get. ~Mahatma Gandhi

Remember…Every problem is an opportunity to trust God. Christ must be the center of your relationships because He provides a stable, fixed point of reference; otherwise, your relationships will be frail and fragile. ~ NFBC Deaconess Board

If you are going to achieve excellence in big things, you develop a habit in little matters. Excellence is not an exception, it is a prevailing attitude. ~ Colin Powell

Remember……Ask, and it shall be given to you; Seek, and ye shall find; Knock, and it shall be opened unto you.  Luke 11:9.

Life's most persistent and urgent question is, "What are you doing for others?" ~Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Directions to Our Father's House...Make a Right onto Believeth Blvd. Keep Straight and go throught the Green Light, which is Jesus Christ. There, you must turn onto the Bridge of Faith, which is over troubled waters. When you get off the bridge, make a Right turn and keep Straight. You are on the King's Highway - Heaven Bound. Keep going for three miles: One for the Father, One for the Son and One for the Holy Ghost. Then exit off onto Grace Blvd. From there, make a Right onto Gospel Lane. Keep Straight and then make another Right onto Prayer Road. As you go on your way, Yield Not to the traffic on Temptation Avenue. Also, avoid Sin Street because it is a DEAD END. Pass up Envy Drive and Hate Avenue. Also, pass Hypocrisy Street, Gossiping Lane and Back-Biting Blvd. However, you have to go down Long-Suffering Lane, Persecution Blvd. and Trials & Tribulations Avenue. But that's all right, because VICTORY Street is Straight ahead! Amen!

Remember this... God can take total disaster and turn it into total victory!

Did you know...The type of seed you sow determines the type of harvest you'll reap. The good news is God has all the money He needs to fund ministry through His church. The bad news is - it's in your pocket! Remember, you will reap what you sow! Scripture rerferences: 2 Corinthians 9:6; Galatians 6:7.

To make the website a valuable source of information regarding our Church, your input would be greately appreciated!

A Note from the Pastor's Desk

We serve an on-time God: wouldn't you agree? So, let's all make a special effort to be on-time for church! We put forth a lot of effort to be on time for our jobs, appointments and other events that we consider to be important. But God should be at the top of our priority list. Let us keep in mind that God gave us His best. Doesn't He deserve our best in return?
